5AM SHOWER?!

Yeah, I know that it has been awhile...a loooooooong while, but I guess better late than never. Many of you receive my newsletters that tell some more details of what is going on...I thought i would share some funny stories.


About a week ago, i woke up to hear what I thought was my roomate taking a shower. I thought nothing of it, and I quickly went back to sleep....Sometime later, I woke up again to still hear her in the bathroom. I checked my watched and learned that it was 5AM!!! This was my first clue that it was not going to be a normal day....I went in the bathroom to find water pouring out of our hot water tank and about six inches of standing water in our bathroom. Six inches does not sound a lot, but believe me, it adds up!!! My roomate was still asleep, so I ran around the house trying to find out how to turn off the water. I kind of knew how to do this because something similar to this has happened before (it sounds crazy, but it has) and i went to the little box that it is the hall way. I started turning anything thing that turns, but I realized that the pipe that was our water was the one that did not have a handle on it!!! At this time, my roommate woke up and we decided to ring our neighbor's door (remember, this is 5:30 AM). Our neighbor comes to the rescue (she is now She-ra in my eyes) and turns our water off and also lends us a dust pan so that we can start scooping up the water and throwing it in the bathtub. It was quite an exciting morning and all before 7! The good news is that because of this not only did we get a new hot water tank, but our electricity, burners, and a lightbulb all got fixed!
