Xander got invited to be one of the special guests at yestarday's girls OU basketball game. Doug had plans with his youth group, and Ricki Lea was helping her sister move. So, they asked me if I would go with him to the game!! We had such a good time...we got a tour of all their facilities...We met the team. Xander had fun meeting everyone, but he was kind of shy...However, when he found out that he would get to shoot baskets on the big court, his eyes lit up!! He actually made a lot of baskets (he claims 12) and everyone cheered. We were in the locker room for the pre-game pep talk, and the kids got to run out on the court with the team. We got to sit in the special seating and the kids were announced at half time. Xander and I had such a great time...it is always special when I get one-on-one time with one of my nieces or nephews...AND it was such a fun event...what a great early Christmas present!!
