Sept. 23

I know that this is two blogs in one day for me,and three in two days which i believe is a blogging record for me....Today is Sept. 23rd, and i arrived in Turkey two years ago today. I cannot believe that it has been two years and that I have been back two months..So much has happened...He has done so much. I got to talk to my roommate, Laura Beth, from Turkey today which made the day complete. I think that this date will always be etched in my brain as a start of an adventure and the beginning of so much change.

I also got to spend the day in Albany, Texas, the hometown of my new roommate, Nicole, and celebrate her bday with her family and get to see a great historical small Texas town....Full of old courthouses, cute little shops, and signs supporting the highschool all over town. My favorite part was our drive in the convertable at night with country music on and the view of the beautiful sky. It has been a looooooong time since i have seen that many stars or a sky that big...

I miss life in Istanbul. I miss the people. I miss the city, but He is so good and faithful. Through all the craziness of starting school, disciplining students, and making parent phone calls, I see glimpses of His goodness in unexpected ways. Small adventures in small Texas towns...
